Carpet Tile
The composition of carpet tiles is a harmonious blend of different elements, each playing an important role in its overall beauty and durability. At the heart of the tile lies the pile fibre layer, which serves as the surface that bears the brunt of wear and tear. This layer is most often made of durable nylon, chosen for its strength and resilience.
The majority of carpet tiles are created by tufting yarn piles into a primary backing, which acts as a foundation for the pile fibres to rest upon. This primary backing is usually made of a non-woven polyester material, chosen for its ability to provide a sturdy base while also allowing the pile fibres to stand tall and proud.
To ensure the carpet tile remains stable and secure, the primary backing is bonded to a secondary backing. This secondary backing serves as a solid anchor, providing the necessary support to keep the carpet tile in place, even in the most high-traffic areas. Together, these different components work in harmony to create a carpet tile that is not only beautiful, but also durable and long-lasting.
