Our Approach
We use the Orton-Gillingham approach because it is the gold standard for teaching phonics and spelling to sturggling readers and those with dyslexia.

Our lessons are designed to help struggling readers by explicitly teaching the connections between letters and sounds. We break reading and spelling down into smaller skills and build on these skills over time through multisensory instruction.

Meet Ms. Cooper
Hi, I'm Sara, I am the owner of Bright Kidz Tutoring! I have dedicated my life to working with children to build their confidence and help them discover a love of learning. After seeing students in my class struggle in reading, I began staying after school and meeting families over the weekend for tutoring. I saw a completly different side of my students that I never got to see in the classroom. The same child who told me, "Ms. Cooper I can't read" was now excited to go to library each week because he could read books from the graphic novel section. When I saw my students make more progress in one month of tutoring than they had all school year in the classroom, I knew I had found something really special.
