Our 8-Step Process
1. Initial Contact
During our no obligation consultation, you will get a sense of who we are at Clearcut Building Solutions. We will discuss your ideas, budget and requirements to get an understanding of what your vision is, providing advice and suggestions that support this. We will then book a date and time for our first site meeting.
2. Site Meeting
Our Project Manager will meet with you in person to discuss your project in further detail. At this time we will look more extensively into the scope of work required as well as timelines. At this meeting we encourage you to bring along any ideas, concepts, section information or any relevant information you would like to discuss. If required, one of our trusted architects will partner with you to understand the design brief you seek to achieve, working in collaboration with our team at Clearcut.
3. Introduction to the design team
After our site meeting, our trusted architect will be in contact with you to begin the design process. You will be provided with a proposal of work and concept design that fits your requirements. Throughout the entire process – design to build to completion– we are in constant communication with you, the client, and architect so that we all have a shared understanding of the project.
4. Preliminary Budget
Once you have drafted plans, we use in-depth software to provide a preliminary budget. This enables you to get a better understanding of what your potential investment will be and allows you to make any key decisions for the next design phase of your project. Once the design is confirmed and consented plans are received from Council, we will then present you with a fixed price quotation.
5. Quote Presentation
When your quote has been finalised we will arrange a meeting to present this to you and go through every aspect of your project. This is an opportunity to ask any questions and ensures any concerns you have are ironed out. With any build there can be unexpected variations that occur that may impact your budget. If this is the case, we will keep you informed and promptly provide details that outline the cost and change to the timeline so you are not caught off guard.
6. Accept, Sign Contract, & Start Date
When you accept the quote, we will walk you through the paperwork detailing the specific terms and conditions. At this stage the contract and any supporting documents are signed. Once the initial deposit is made, your project will be scheduled in our work plan. We will provide you with a projected schedule and timeline of your project from start to finish. We also ensure that all council pre-construction requirements are met.
7. Meet the Team and Construction Process
We will introduce you to the Site Manager and our team of excellent builders Wellington who will be taking care of your build. You will be provided with weekly site reports so you are well informed across all stages of your project. We will also arrange site visits so you can come down and see the progress being made. To ensure we are always meeting our high standards, we work through our 300-point Quality Control Check List throughout the duration of the project.
8. Completion and Handover
Construction is complete and you have made your final payment, at this stage we will arrange a handover with you. We will arrange the last stages of your council compliance requirements and complete the requirements for your Halo 10 year Guarantee to be processed.
