  We had an amazing experience at Fix-a-Crack! I had an Audi Q5 that had a pretty large crack in the windshield. I called Alicia, who was able to get me a quote and a timeline within an hour. She walked me through exactly why I needed the windshield and what they would do to fix it.

Once we dropped it off, Steven and his team went to work. They stayed after hours to fit my schedule (I dropped my car off at 6:30pm) and were able to get it fixed in 24 hours. They went above and beyond to make sure their customers were satisfied. Highly recommend!

  Made an appointment via text the day before. Owners responded quickly by text and process was easy. Good instructions for locating them were provided and important as they aren't just right off the road.
Stephen did the work quickly and was very friendly while maintaining social distance. He answered all my questions and I had two chips repaired in less than 45 mins. Probably 10 mins of that time was just talking to the owners about non-repair stuff.
I'll return when I get my next inevitable chip in a windshield.

  5 stars is not enough for the integrity and attention to detail under which Fix-a-Crack operates! We are from Houston but were driving the Rio Grande Valley when we got a pretty good chip in our windshield. We took it to Fix-a-Crack (although they will come to you!) and got it fixed very quickly! Steven did an OUTSTANDING job and saved us both time and money! We could continue our trip and even recommended Steve and his company to others along the way!

  While 2000 miles from home, my motorhome had a cracked windshield and needed replacement. The shop assigned by my insurance company screwed the job up badly. Steve and Alicia from Fix-A-Crack took over to straighten out the mess, and that always makes the job harder. They went over and above, running all over the county to get me the materials needed to make the install right. They were also very respectful towards the original shop, showing me what had been done wrong, but without talking trash about their competitor. Classy move that showed character and confidence. After they were finished I looked at my windshield and literally could not tell where it had been I highly recommend Fix a crack for any windshield repair.

  I certainly did not expect to be treated this well by the people who fixed my windshield. Steven and Alicia are two of the nicest and most considerate people that I've ever met. They wouldn't take my payment without first getting a chance to show me their work. I had set up an appointment for them to come repair my windshield this morning at the bank where I work. When they came in to tell me that they were done, I was stuck in the middle of a conference call. I didn't want to keep them waiting so I tried to pay them assuming that the crack had been repaired. Most people would've just taken the money and left. As much as I insisted, they decided that they would come back instead when I was available so that they could show me what they did. When they came back, they explained it all in detail and even pointed out another crack on my windshield that I hadn't even noticed. Steven and Alicia take a lot of pride in what they do and finding help like this is rare these days. They even sent me a text earlier today thanking me for letting them take care of my windshield. The whole experience actually made my day!

  If you need to repair or replace a window, Fix-A-Crack is definitely the way to go. My wife and I live in Reynosa, Mexico. On a recent trip back from San Antonio, a rock hit and shattered a window in our SUV. I looked up some places in McAllen and found Fix-A-Crack. Steve was very friendly and responsive. He called me back very quickly with a quote. The window was one of the back vent windows and not very common. He drove to San Antonio to pick up the part himself! Steve genuinely puts the customer first and enjoys helping people. I even checked prices in Mexico but Fix-A-Crack was just as affordable and offered a much higher level of service. We were not disappointed. Steve finished the job very quickly and the window looks fantastic. I highly recommend Fix-A-Crack and Steve!

  Great service. Experienced staff. And friendly to boot. The insurance didn't cover everything as last year. However that is not on the fine people at fix a crack. They were more than accommodating. Located at the burns motors on old 83. In the service department, where I also was allowed to wait in the lobby as they worked on my windshield. In and out in about an hour. I almost didn't write this review. But when I received a handwritten thank you/holiday card, I knew I owed them at least a review. You can't go wrong with these folks.

  As a Winter Texan from Winnipeg (Canada) I know of the likelihood of windshield "dings". But this time it turned out that my new vehicle had more than a "ding" - it quickly became an "L" shaped crack about ten inches long. I contacted a number of dealers to see if they had a) my windshield and b) facilities to replace it. I was given a number of leads, all of which went nowhere.

I saw that "Fix-A-Crack" had postive Yelp reviews, so I phoned the owner, Steven Maples. Not only did he take a long time to track down all the info for me, but he was so patient as he explored all the possibilities. It turned out that my new vehicle windshield has Canadian specs that are different, and he wanted to ensure that I got the right replacement wth all the features. He asked me to call back in an hour as he explored the possibilities of having the Canadian windshield shipped down here.

When that turned out to not be possible, he said he'd come by when he was in my neighbourhood - he's in McAllen, I'm in Weslaco. I was worried about the safety, so I asked if I could come to him. He invited me to his home where he had all the materials from his mobile unit. While his wife Alicia and puppy "Bitsy" entertained me, Steve worked for almost two hours to stop further cracking and then do what he coud to minimize the damage. He also found another "ding" I hadn't noticed, and fixed it since he was already "on a roll." When I wasn't having a great time enjoying their hospitality, Steve would explain everything he was doing. The end result seems to be terrific, and in the four days since the crack has stopped getting bigger - it was "growing" a bit every day before I went to him.

We leave for Canada in just under two weeks, so of course we're hoping that all goes well and we can have it replaced when we get back. I will try to update this post when that happens.

I can't say enough about how well I was treated. He could easily have sold me a replacement windshield, made money off me, and I would never have been the wiser - until of course I'd notice some features weren't working. But instead he worked on it where safety was his one and only concern. And whereas the other companies had quickly given me very high quotes and were anxious to get it done, Steve's quote had he been able to get the proper windshield was almost $200 less. And I won't say how much he charged me for the work he did - suffice it to say it was a bargain, even with a 20% tip.

  I wouldn't trust my windshield repair with anyone else. Steven is kind, considerate and reputable. He does what he says he will do.

They are quick to respond to phone calls. He was kind to answer my windshield repair questions I had and provided be with windshield safety information I didn't know about. Steven took care of a windshield crack for me while I was traveling. He does good work.
