A Team of Experts in Toronto providing 3D Laser Scanning and Reality Capture Services
Toronto has long been a hub for applying reality capture and 3D laser scanning technology services in Ontario and Canada. There has been an increase in demand for LiDAR services and utilities, with projects ranging from architectural restoration to industrial BIM modeling. From providing services and 3D scanning the Roger Center’s Skydome to providing surveying as-built models for the city of Toronto on Sherbourne Street, the iScano crew has done it all. Due to the current building boom in Toronto, the iScano team has been extremely busy in the distillery district working with architects and interior designers. On the eastern outskirts of downtown, the iScano team has been working with construction companies to provide as-built floorplans.

Our team has been handling 3D Laser Scanning Technologies for over a decade
Our team has been handling 3D Laser Scanning Technologies for over a decade working in companies such as ; Faro Technologies, HoloBuilder, Trimble Navigation Systems and Leica. The iScano team has extensive experience allowing us to grasp the technology, its capabilities, and limitations- whether that means reverse engineering, laying down 3D CAD documents, generating as-built information using the point cloud, or accurately scanning data capturing. . Our staff of specialists employs their extensive 3D laser scanning knowledge to assist you in obtaining the information you need.
How Does iScano’s 3D Scanning Services Work?
We provide several deliverables including as build models and floorplans in a timely manner regardless of it being historical buildings or a manufacturing facility. In most cases our services focus in both the scanner and the accuracy. Our workflow and process during a scanning job is quite straightforward if we are provided full access of the site. Our team of engineers will go on-site and capture the specified area. Once the area is captured our team will generate a user-friendly accurate point cloud dataset that will produce accurate measurements. The precise measurements will enable the end-user to leverage the captured data begin pre-planning the project before the as-built plans are complete. Take a look at some of our use cases to the final result of our projects.
What Kind of 3D Scan Data do you Produce?
While we do not use the artec space spider for rapid prototyping, our trained team does know the importance of dynamic referencing. Our laser scanning device produces millions of point cloud data which can create as built models, high resolution CAD drawings, BIM models and so much more. Please check out our projects for more information about our solution.
How long does the entire process take when 3D Scanning a Site?
While the scanning process is not a short learning curve, the duration is dependent on the type of deliverables the client needs and iScano is here to clarify the process. For example, historical buildings tend to take 2-3 days to scan on-site using one device on the field, while a new built home that requires documentation could take 1 day using traditional methods from the same device. It is all dependent on if the real world objects require a high resolution capture, or if our customers require BIM models. The final result is up to you and our organization will accommodate your needs based on the specs our trained team is given.
