I am Rya Eisma, a specialist photographer with roots in Filipino culture. Born and nurtured in Hawai'i, I am presently based in Las Vegas. My photography journey started in childhood; a 110 film camera, a present from my Aunt, marked the creation of this lifelong pursuit. Proceeding promptly, I quickly transitioned to using a Pentax SLR, a critical action in my photographic advancement.
My academic pathway included extensive coursework in photography during my senior high school and college years. However, my career initially took a different trajectory as I gained a degree in nursing. This career was greater than a job; it was a way to sustain my son and myself. In spite of this, the allure of photography remained a consistent, a quiet yet consistent calling.
