Alabama Ear Nose & Throat Specialists is made up of a group of professionals dedicated to providing the best high quality healthcare in a responsive and caring environment. Our otolaryngologists are Board certified with decades of experience in the profession. They work in show with nurses and office staff who try to recognize your health problems quickly and apply the best treatment to get you back to your optimal health. We also have 2 Audiologists on team to help with the diagnosis and treatment of adults and children with hearing and balance related disorders. A native of Maryland, Dr. Shields got his undergraduate degree from Samford University and his medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2005.
