Te Wai Mauri Limited stands as a testament to the commitment of Ngāti Pārau towards preserving and nurturing the environment in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. Established in September 2020 and wholly owned by Te Wai Mauri Charitable Trust, this hapū-led venture is deeply rooted in kaitiakitanga principles, guided by te ao Māori and tikanga practices. Their primary mission revolves around the protection and enhancement of te taiao, the natural world. At the core of their operations are the Kaitiaki Rangers, a team of skilled professionals trained at the Eastern Institute of Technology in Taradale. Armed with qualifications in various fields such as Growsafe for safe chemical handling, outdoor first-aid, chainsaw operation, and pest management, these individuals are equipped to undertake diverse environmental contracting work. From fencing to weed management, their expertise spans a wide array of services crucial for the preservation of ecological balance.
